Some fragrances revel in their ambiguity. Noir Epices is an Oriental, which spares the vanilla and instead is drowning in the sort of spicy notes that suggest exotic and disconcerting journeys. Michel Roudnitska's scent is long on nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and pepper. It is topped with rose and Bourbon geranium and backed by precious woods, including sandalwood and patchouli. A woody oriental, near Chypre, its sensuality is elegant, never lascivious.
Michel Roudnitska spent his childhood in his parents' laboratory. Perfume is, in a sense, his mother tongue. Initiated to the art of composition by his father, Edmond Roudnitska, he broadened his artistic expression by becoming a photographer. He now runs the creation studio Art & Parfum where he creates perfumes of great aesthetic rigor.
