Richer, sultrier and more powerful than ever, the fragrance's woody intensity sheds new light on the personality of the Encre Noire man. Virile and sensuous. Refined and demanding. Singular and seductive. Between darkness and light, Encre Noire à l'Extrême redefines masculinity.
A luminous opening. A darkly elegant, woody dry-down. Encre Noire à l'Extrême plays on contrasts to express every facet of masculinity through powerful, seductive accords. The new fragrance is based on two outstanding qualities of vetiver, one from Haiti, the other from Java. To highlight the complex facets of these essences, a sparkling bergamot blends with the woody, aromatic freshness of cypress and smooth elemi. In the heart notes of Encre Noire à l'Extrême, this woody palette is enhanced by two of the noblest materials in perfumery. Precious, elegant iris wraps the vetiver accord. Spiritual, sensual incense lends its dusky depth and evocative power. A voluptuous dry-down of caressing sandalwood and velvety patchouli, made more addictive still with a lick of balsamic benzoin, prolongs this woody intensity. A sensuous trail made all the more unique and unforgettable that it stays masculine... in the extreme.

Powerful, contemporary, minimalist, the Encre Noire bottle, inspired by René Lalique's "Biche" inkwell (1913), has been reinvented for this new fragrance. As an invitation to experience a novel olfactory sensation, the iconic glass cube undresses, unveiling the scent's rich cognac hue. Half-black and half-transparent, the bottle is crowned with a black wood cap. The luxurious box also reflects this contrast between darkness and light. Made in a smooth, matte black, it is circled with a hot-stamped strip in a shiny, warm bronze tint.
